ContentProtector.eu offers you two certification levels to adapt to your legal and budget needs:
Upload + Hash Only
⚠️ Legal value: generates valid documentary evidence under EU legal framework and provides qualified probative value through subsequent forensic authentication activity when required.
💡 Ideal for: photos, documents and standard personal or professional materials
Digital Signature + Timestamp
🏆 Legal value: immediate and incontrovertible proof. Qualified timestamp compliant with EU Regulation No. 910/2014 eIDAS and ETSI standards (EN 319 421 / EN 319 422), full legal value throughout the EU.
🎯 Ideal for: Contracts, patents, creative works, legal documents, procedural evidence, music, books, software, projects…
⚡ Tip: Use qualified certification for important documents that might be used in European courts. Basic certification is perfect for everything else.
On this page you will find a complete preview of how ContentProtector.eu works. The first panel below is already open and shows step by step the entire workflow: file upload, certification with hash and (optional) qualified timestamp, management in the private dashboard, and the final certificate with full legal value.
By scrolling further down, you can also explore the other 3 tabs: whether certifications are site-independent, basic certification with certified copy, and qualified certification with timestamp.
With ContentProtector.eu, every file you upload is instantly certified and stored in your personal archive. To give you a clear idea of how it works, here's a practical example showing the main service screens.
From the Reserved Area you can upload your documents, images, videos, or audio files. Once the upload is complete, the system automatically generates the cryptographic hash and, if requested, applies the qualified digital timestamp. Your file remains secure in your personal storage, always accessible.
In the My Certifications section, you'll find a complete list of all your certified files. Here you can search, filter by date, check file sizes, and verify the SHA-256 hash linked to each document. It's your personal archive, neatly organized and always ready for consultation or legal use.
Each file has its own dedicated certification page, showing technical details (hash, timestamp, metadata, QR code, upload information). This document proves the authenticity and integrity of the content, ready to be used as evidence in legal or forensic contexts.
Certifications created with ContentProtector are designed to remain valid even outside the platform.
In summary: with a qualified timestamp you are not dependent on our site, while without a timestamp our support remains necessary to grant full legal force to the certification.
⚠️ Important Disclaimer: Basic certification has limited probative value in European courts if an additional authentic copy is not performed. Therefore, to be presented in legal proceedings, it requires documentary support, a certification we can provide at the costs indicated here, to be fully effective under EU legal framework. It is still useful for establishing a temporal presumption and demonstrating good faith.

💡 Legal Expert Advice: Basic certification is an excellent starting point, but for truly important documents, invest in qualified certification. It costs only 1 credit but gives you immediate and unassailable legal proof valid across all EU member states.
🏆 Decisive Advantage: Qualified certification with RFC 3161 eIDAS timestamp has immediate legal value and constitutes privileged evidence in European courts. No additional documentary support required.
Qualified digital timestamp RFC 3161. This is the core of your legal proof.
Complete document with all details, SHA-256 hash and technical information.
Complete technical metadata for detailed forensic verification.
📜 Documentary Evidence Template (Qualified Version)
“Evidence submitted to the court: documents to present – ContentProtector.eu qualified digital certification including: (a) PDF creation of the certification page, (b) PDF creation of the certification email sent by the system, (c) Download of the qualified eIDAS RFC 3161 Timestamp .TSR file, (d) Download of the original file with SHA-256 hash, (e) Download of the JSON file with complete technical metadata. This set of elements allows you to demonstrate the existence and integrity of the work at the date certified by the qualified timestamp, compliant with eIDAS Regulation (EU 910/2014) and endowed with legal presumption of validity under Article 41 of the Regulation itself.”
Note: if you wish to document also the file opening with the IP tracking system offered by ContentProtector.eu, it is necessary to request, for a fee, an authentic copy of the email with tracking data sent at each file opening.
The .TSR file can be independently verified at any qualified TSA to confirm date, time and timestamp integrity. You can check .TSR files using our tool here.
